The best chai in town.

A small café and chai production facility in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The tiny space made for many creative constraints. We managed to fit a comfortable seating area at the front window; sale counter for pastries, coffee, and espresso; and a production area in the back for making the commercially sold chai tea concentrate.

The café was visually separated by he simple application of white and grey paint. The beautiful black granite counter tops were chosen because of their swirling white veins – echoing milk being added to a cold brew coffee. Having a small counter top, we recessed the pastries into a small display in the countertop, having the window in the waterfall edge of the granite.
